HSH announces appointment of Group Director, Properties, Shirley Lam 


Hong Kong, 1 March 2022

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Shirley Lam as Group Director, Properties, with effect from 1 March 2022. 

Ms Lam will oversee the operations of The Repulse Bay, The Peak Complex and The Landmark in Vietnam and other commercial property assets including 21 Avenue Kleber in Paris. She will also be responsible for the strategic development of the group’s property division. Ms Lam has been appointed to the HSH Group Management Board. 

Ms Lam holds a Master of Science - Facility Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong.  She joined Hongkong Land in 2002 in Hong Kong, and was later assigned to Hanoi, Vietnam in 2007 as General Director of Hongkong Land, Vietnam, overseeing the two joint ventures. She then moved to Macau in 2010 as General Manager to launch One Central Macau, a joint venture project with Shun Tak Holdings. She was General Manager, Commercial Property, China from 2012-2022 and was responsible for the project development, construction and development of a commercial mixed-use development, Wangfu Central in Beijing, where the Mandarin Oriental Beijing is located. 

Ms Lam is the successor of the current Group Director, Properties, Mr Martyn Sawyer who will retire in June 2022 after 37 years with the group. A separate announcement about Martyn’s retirement will be issued in due course.
