Gareth Roberts

Group Director, Brand and Operations Support

Appointed to the Group Management Board (GMB) in 2020, Mr Roberts joined the company as Assistant Front Office Manager at The Peninsula Beverly Hills in 2002 and later became Resident Manager in 2011. Mr Roberts relocated to China in 2013 as Hotel Manager of The Peninsula Shanghai. In 2015, he transferred to HSH Head Office where he was promoted to Group General Manager, Operations Planning & Support in November 2016. In 2020, he was appointed Group Director, Brand & Operations Support where he is responsible for leading the teams that oversee sales and marketing, brand, guest experience and operations for both existing and future hotel developments for The Peninsula Hotels. In addition, he supports Peninsula Merchandising Limited, which comprises The Peninsula Boutique retail business. Mr. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada.
